Palace Chemicals based in Speke were looking to reduce their energy bills and their carbon footprint. We held initial discussions and we provided designs so we could agree a plan for the best way forwards, taking into account their energy usage and the way the manufacturing business operates - making the best use of the roof space available and also the electrical enabling works and the new substation that was required in order to make the project happen. This meant discussions with the DNO about how and what could be done and applications for the connection agreements, which we undertook for them.
Our Palace Chemicals install system consisted of 804 x 505W Q-Cells panels with 4 x 100kW inverters. This system produced 45MWh which equates to around 1.5MWh of solar generation daily. Some more key facts:
Palace Chemicals now stand out when they are tendering for works and can showcase this solar pv installation as part of their drive to becoming more energy efficient and help towards their Net Zero targets.
