Exploring Agroforestry: New Podcast Mini-Series from RuralPod Media and the Forestry Commission

Specialist rural podcast production agency RuralPod Media has teamed up with the Forestry Commission to produce an insightful three-part mini-series on agroforestry as part of its flagship podcast, Meet the Farmers.

Hosted by rural affairs and farming podcaster Ben Eagle, and his co-host for the series James Ramskir-Gardiner, National Agroforestry Advisor at the Forestry Commission, together they explore the benefits and practicalities of agroforestry with expert guests who are practising it on the ground.

Episode Breakdown:

• Episode 1 (available from Monday 28^th April) – Shropshire farmer Clare Hill joins the discussion to explore why farmers might want to consider agroforestry and the benefits it can bring to both farming and the environment.
• Episode 2 (available from Wednesday 30^th April) – Suffolk farmer Sam Morgan shares his experiences with silvopasture and silvoarable systems, shedding light on how integrating trees into farming can boost productivity and resilience.
• Episode 3 (available from Friday 2^nd May) – Cornish forester Tom Kemp delves into the practicalities of agroforestry, answering key questions and providing guidance on getting started.

All episodes will be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or your favourite podcast platform.
