Oakwood is a modern property consultancy delivering property management and associated professional work throughout the North West and North Wales. We operate from Station House in Altrincham town centre where small our team of four is based.

The role is office based with normal office hours Monday to Friday.

We have an agenda for growth and are keen on staff development and training.

About the role…

The role is principally working for our Associate who is responsible for property management, lettings and agency, however you will also be involved in the general running of the office. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Keeping accurate accounts for our landlord clients, including service charges and annual statements
  • Communicating with landlords, tenants and other clients where applicable
  • Manage the firm’s office bookkeeping via Xero (experience required) including issuing fee invoices and managing the cash flow. There is also some similar work for the associated group companies
  • Assisting our Property Manager with inspections, repair organisation and compliance for managed properties
  • Completing administrative tasks and projects around the office, including administration of property valuations

About you…

The successful person will be computer literate with great IT skills and must be familiar with general office procedures. A good head for figures and accounts processes is essential (especially Xero) and some property knowledge would be helpful, though you will be trained on the property management aspects of the role.

Local knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will have good communication skills, both spoken (including telephone) and written word; good standards of English required.

Ideally be able to start promptly, early June 2025.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate: Altrincham – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education: A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience: Bookkeeping: 1 year (required)
