We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant and Schemes Assistant to support and work collaboratively within a highly professional organisation at our clients offices in Cheshire. You will be responsible for managing grant and scheme applications, from preparing and submitting applications to tracking their progress and ensuring compliance with deadlines. Holding a sound knowledge of the agricultural sector, you will leverage your exceptional administrative and time management skills, building and nurturing client relations throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
To prepare and submit SFI applications and grants for rural and agricultural clients
To work with the team to support their workloads including on farm visits
To provide clients with guidance on the eligibility criteria for available grant schemes
To maintain accurate records and monitor deadlines to ensure timely submissions
Liaise with government agencies and bodies to track the progress and address any queries efficiently
To support the wider team and agency with routine administrative tasks
Skills:
Proven experience in an administrative role
A knowledge and understanding of the agricultural sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple task to meet deadlines
Good relationship-building skills; able to communicate confidently to rural and agricultural clients
A strong eye for detail and accuracy
A team player who works collaboratively to ensure business needs are met
Professional, with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and a keen willingness to learn
Excellent IT skills
