We are seeking a general farm worker to join our family run business, working at our autumn unit milking 450 cows plus followers.
The successful candidate will be involved in the daily running of the farm. This will include jobs such as milking, feeding, scraping, bedding, moving fences, rearing young-stock, tractor work, plus general maintenance and upkeep of the farm. Other more advanced skills such as drying off cows, treating cows and field work is a bonus, however training can be provided on the job.
In this role you will be working as part of our team, however the candidate should also be confident working on their own. Furthermore, they must have a positive, hard working and can-do attitude with a passion for dairy farming. Previous experience in dairy farming is desired but not essential.
Farm details:
We are an established farm based on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border 5 minutes from Market Drayton. The farm has been running for over 50 years through which it has continuously been expanding and passed down family generations. We milk twice a day through a Vaccar 25-50 swing over parlour.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday plus every other weekend
Weekend work is milking only!

Competitive salary based on experience.
