The Ruminant Sales Manager role offers a unique chance to contribute to the growth of a dynamic and highly regarded company. You will play a key role in expanding our clients’ reach across the UK, providing expert nutritional guidance, fostering strong relationships with farmers, and leading a growing team of sales professionals to meet and exceed targets. This position combines leadership with hands-on involvement as you provide on-farm technical advice to a growing customer base, drawing on your sector knowledge and understanding of farmers’ needs through a consultative sales approach. With your leadership skills and strong network, you’ll motivate and inspire your team while ensuring business goals are met. Role Responsibilities:
- To undertake farm visits to determine livestock needs and provide tailored, analytical-based nutritional recommendations to enhance performance
- To lead, manage and support a high-performing nutritional sales team
- To build and nurture strong business relationships with key customers and the wider business
- To manage and deliver sales reports, analysing performance, ensuring targets are achieved
- To work collaboratively across the business, promoting the product range and services
Skills you will need:
Essential:
- Proven sales experience within the livestock feed sector
- A strong knowledge and understanding of ruminant production systems
- The ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- A relationship builder able to forge and cultivate long-lasting relationships fluidly
- The ability to analyse data and make informed, data-driven decisions
- Driven and self-motivated with a track record of achieving results
- A team collaborator with the ability to work autonomously when required
- The willingness and desire to travel
- UK driving licence
