Job description

ADAS, part of the RSK Group are looking to appoint an Agribusiness Consultant on a full time, permanent basis, in their offices based in Leeds
ADAS is the leading supplier of independent technical, environmental and farm business advice to the UK’s farmers and growers, land managers and related organisations. We provide a wide range of specialist consultancy services to individual business, undertake leading edge research and deliver knowledge transfer and advice programmes on behalf of government and industry organisations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply skills across a range of farm business management consultancy services, such as strategic planning, farm business reviews, creation of diversified enterprises and financial analysis and planning. Work alongside other members of staff to enable clients to achieve their overall business objectives by providing independent direction and actions to improve performance on a continual basis. Work with the team to develop skills to analyse problems and provide independent and cost-effective solutions to clients that includes technically correct and legally compliant advice. Grow your knowledge of the use of the suite of ADAS ALM support tools including BPS Impact Calculator, Xero and FM9. Work with your mentor to upskill your technical and business knowledge in order to facilitate your development as a consultant, producing technical reports to a good standard with attention to detail. Grow your understanding of ADAS ALM and the wider ADAS businesses through the completion of online learning and internal networking.

Skills

• Agricultural or business-related qualification to HND or Degree level in a land-based subject area. Previous relevant practical experience in agriculture is preferable but not essential. Display good communication skills, both internally and externally, to influence key decision-makers. Work consistently to a high standard with attention to detail Creative and solution-orientated with a determination to deliver value to the client. Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel away from home base, including overnight stays, when required.

Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.
