Newport Young Farmers events

Newport Young Farmers, based in Newport, Telford, Shropshire, was the place to be Monday 9th September, where a new members’ evening was celebrated ready for the 2024-2025 year ahead!

With over fifty new starters in attendance, the night got underway with a 30ft inflatable obstacle course, and some ‘getting to know you’ games for all involved!

Newport Young Farmers is all about celebrating rural life, and expanding skill sets and talents in a broad horizon of opportunities. From public speaking, to debating, disco dancing and choir, stock judging, fence building, baking and painting, the list goes on, but there really is something for everyone to try and come out rewarded and full of confidence!...And don’t get them started on the sports!! Whether it's a new talent, or something you’re skilled at, there are levels for whoever wants to jump in, or even just get some practice, and see what it's all about.

Newport YFC is a charity, so everything the club does and events they hold are as a result of funds they have raised from previous activities and fundraisers. Profits are also shared with their chosen charity, Severn Hospice.

The hard work of all the members is what keeps the club’s motives alive, but also of course keeps them financially in a position to keep projecting all the good they do, as well as holding socials weekly for the members to enjoy!

The year ahead for Newport is set to be an exciting one, with a real push for some exciting fundraisers, as well as general socials for the members to jump into and have a good time, all the while expanding their friendship pool and social skills!
