Peak Farmers Group Meeting

Please find information on the next Peak Farmers Group meeting where we host the Ludlow Farmers Group on two farm visits.

Meet at 10am- Mill Farm, Brough, Bradwell, Hope Valley S33 9HG

First Farm- Geoff Eyres, Mill Farm (10am)
Geoff Eyre has been a farmer for 60 years and has spent nine years restoring 425 acres of moorland from impenetrable bracken back to a more diverse heather-rich habitat, providing a boost for native wildlife and adding to its carbon capturing potential.

Lunch- Anchor Inn, Tideswell (12:30pm)

Second Farm- Richard Jackson, Pilsbury Aberdeen Angus (2pm)
Richard Jackson, at Pilsbury Aberdeen Angus, farms on the edge of the village of Monyash near Bakewell over 1000ft above sea level. They aim to produce Pedigree Aberdeen Angus which has the capacity to grow and finish exceptionally off forage ensuring genetic potential is reached through quality forage intake.

The day will finish at 4pm.
